I’d like to suggest another solution for inserting video process. Actually not only videos… Images and quotes from any web page, directly to any WordPress blog. Best of all, it’s not a plugin, it’s a bookmarklet. You drag & drop it to your bookmark bar and then, when you see a video or image, or some text worth to quote, click the bookmarklet and that’s all. Maybe they should make an actually working unified format/interface for the codecs, so they would be easy to maintain even manually. Codecs change and new stuff comes along all the time, so you're bound to end up in a situation where the codec you want isn't available from the automatic download center. They should have done the whole thing right in the first place. This thing just reminds me of Windows Media Player's "Error: suitable codec not found" I don’t know if it’s the right solution to just pre-install the stuff that is difficult for the users.

I loved how personal it sounded.. and as a matter of fact I'm messing around with the nakedmud you suggested right now, looking cool! Amazing how it compiled in Cygwin with no problems at all. I've only looked at the source briefly, but I definitely agree that it's very clear, very elegant... even the deeper C source. Love the "hooks" feature! anywho, back to coding :D I concur :-)! Perhaps the fact that the kernel developers are offering to create the entire module and manage it indefinitely will cause some to loosen up. I hope so. Who knows, perhaps ATI would even get better drivers if they did. @BTreeHugger:

In some cases, they have NDAs of their own to worry about due to stupid business choices (in my humble opinion).. I'm looking at you, ATI. Let's hope I'm wrong and we get good OSS drivers for at least a few products worthy of mention. I just started to use wordpress, it's really easy and wonderfull. The WP contact form completely made my site crash on my (cheap virtual) server. Though it did work my home laptop (ubuntu/apache). I use the "secure form mailer for wordpress" from dagondesign.com instead now. It's also very easy. The one I miss really is Lightbox. http://zeo.unic.net.my/notes/lightbox-js-version-20/.
